Help, I'm on TV!

Being approached for a TV show is a dream!
It happened to me, and I didn't have much time to think about it.
For a moment, I thought, do I really want to be on TV?
After all, it's about my artwork, not about me.
But how long would I actually be on screen?
Many questions raced through my mind, only to suddenly realize I'd probably never get this opportunity again.
And so, I said a resounding YES to the interior designer from the show "Help Mijn Man is Klusser", Dagmar van Ark.
A woman with an out-of-the-box mentality when it comes to interiors and also a great photographer with her own studio!

We contacted her to discuss the wishes of the couple featured in the TV show.
Actually, these were the wishes of the lady of the house, as she approached the show for much-needed help with the renovations that had unfortunately been dragging on for years.

She prefers a beach atmosphere, light colors, and a peaceful atmosphere.
Together with Dagmar, I'm in my studio looking for a piece of art that complements this.
A variety of beige tones in a painting, with a plain wooden frame, are the preferred choice for the living room makeover.
A smaller piece, a piece of paper art, also framed, is chosen for the kitchen.

On the appointed day, I drive an hour and a half to the location where the makeover will take place.
Work is still in full swing; it's far from finished.
Enormous containers are parked outside, the floor layers are hard at work, and work is also underway upstairs.
They're working tirelessly.
It's hard to believe that the handover is happening at the end of the day.

The entire team gives me a very warm welcome!
It immediately feels like a warm bath, and my nerves melt away.
The cameraman guides me outside, and following his instructions, I walk down the street a little later, my artwork in hand.
The sun is shining, and I immediately feel a smile on my face.
I have no idea if this footage will ultimately be used, but it's certainly fun to capture some outdoor footage.
A little later, I walk into the house where I meet Dagmar, and together we unpack the artwork I brought with me. The cameraman captures it all.
I immediately see that my work complements the interior beautifully—so beautiful!

This all takes a short time.
After the shoot, the team warmly thanks me for making the long journey from the east and for making my artwork available.
One last hug from Dagmar, and I get back in the car for the return trip.
During the 1.5-hour drive back, the smile never leaves my face.
I thoroughly enjoyed this!
The way the team welcomes you is truly crucial.
My artwork was viewed and treated with great respect.
Everyone involved in this project matters; it's a warm welcome!

It will be quite a while before the episode airs on TV. I'm on screen for a very short time, but my artwork is on screen for a much longer time.
Everything about the interior is perfect, beautifully designed by Dagmar.
It's a very small house, and you managed to make it into something so beautiful! Hats off to Dagmar and the team!

As the credits roll, I suddenly see my name.
How proud can you be?
Thankfully, I didn't hesitate too long about whether or not I'd dare.
I won't have to think twice about that next time.
